Consular Outreach Program in Taif

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah will conduct a consular outreach program in Taif on May 15, 2025. The outreach program will provide passport, civil registry, and notarial services to Filipinos in Taif and surrounding areas.

Advisory on New e-Passport Application System

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) introduces a new online appointment system for e-Passport applications. Effective May 1, 2025, all passport applications and renewals will be processed through the new system.

Key features of the new system include:

• Improved user interface
• Mobile-friendly design
• Email and SMS notifications
• Online payment options

Philippine Independence Day Celebration

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, in collaboration with the Filipino Community Organizations in the Western Region, will hold a Philippine Independence Day Celebration on June 12, 2025.

Venue: Al Salam Ballroom, Hilton Hotel, Jeddah
Time: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM

The event will feature cultural performances, Filipino food, and a showcase of Filipino talent and products. All Filipinos in the Western Region are invited to attend.

Reminder: Overseas Voting Registration

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah reminds all Filipino citizens in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia that the registration for Overseas Voting for the 2027 National Elections continues until September, 30, 2026.

Qualified Filipino citizens who are not yet registered as overseas voters are encouraged to register at the Consulate General during office hours, Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Travel Advisory: Hajj Season

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah advises all Filipino nationals in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia of the upcoming Hajj season in June 2025.

During this period, expect:

• Heavy traffic in and around Makkah
• Limited access to certain areas
• Increased security measures
• Potential delays in travel

Filipinos are advised to plan their movements accordingly and to carry proper identification at all times.
